Job Description
We are seeking Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Hamilton location. Certified or experience in all levels of Obstetrics, MSKs, Vascular and general ultrasound. The ideal candidate will be capable of professional interaction with patients, the staff and referring physicians, interaction directly with referring physicians as well as the use of RIS and PACS systems.

Description
- Obtain the required views according to organizational protocol.
- Ensure complete patient history is obtained for proper interpretation of the case.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients.
- Must provide compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision imaging services.
- Reliable and adaptable.
Requirements
- Registration in good standing with the CMRTO and CAMRT
- Continuing education annually as required by the CMRTO
- 1- 2 years Experience
- Liability Insurance is a requirement
- Work based on all regulations and ALARA principles
- Good problem solving skills
- Follow HIPPA guidelines
- Should be well versed in infection control requirements and procedures
- Graduate from a recognized college/university program in Medical Radiation Technology

- New Grads Welcome. Knowledgeable in general ultrasound, OB (including NT), MSK and small parts
- ARDMS (ABD) (GYN/OB) (NT) and CARDUP licenses in good standing and CMEs current
- Liability insurance required
- CMRTO registration required
